Schwab products are manufactured to meet and are tested under Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 72 Classification 350° for explosion and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 350° degrees fire, explosion and impact and UL classification 125° degrees for media storage cabinets, safes and multi-media files.

Schwab tested Schwab's Media Cooler to hold 125° degrees or less in a 400° degrees oven for one hour.

Unlike other files, the Schwab products are unique in that they are not made of a multitude of panels that can be removed with a screwdriver. The Schwab file with individual interior steel drawer vault insures that the contents are not exposed to the insulating materials, which can contaminate the records.
